Pascal Briggs & The Stokers

After 3 years of succesfully performing as a solo artist including loose collaborations with many fellow musicians and winning over audiences all throughout Europe, Pascal Briggs has finally got a new, steady line-up on the go: The Stokers!

Their full-on band sound is of course more driving than his acoustic stuff, but, situated somewhere between Punk, 70's Rock and Folk, remains absolutely unique and unpredictable, ironically described as "Stoker Rock" by the group itself. It's all underpinned by the use of a variety of instruments, from three guitars to violin and blues harmonica. And while you will be dragged into the atmosphere on an old Sergio Leone movie at one point, The Stokers will come up with a two minute Power Pop hit that will knock you of your feet next. After their baptism by fire as a live band early July, Pascal Briggs & The Stokers focus on getting new material down at Heizraum Studio, Essen, first releases and shows will be announced for fall/winter 2010, initiating 2011 as the year of The Stokers. So don't miss them when they set your town on fire!

"Stoker Rock": Funeral Flo (Funeral March) - Guitar/Violin, Bob The Stoker (The Richies/The Porters) - Bass, Pascal Briggs (District/Public Toys) - Vocals/Guitar, Long Shot Hooky - Guitar/Harmonica, Burn Harper (District) - Drums/Percussion (v.l.t.r.)
