REJECTED YOUTH
Four years after their last LP "Public Disorder" REJECTED YOUTH finally made it. The band's fourth LP "Fuck The Consent" will be released by Concrete Jungle Records / Edel November 18th 2011. Founded in 1998 REJECTED YOUTH from Nuremberg have become one of the most established punk institutions over the years. After 3 LPs, one Live DVD, several singles and one mini album the four guys proved at numerous festivals, tours and shows through Europe and the US that political punk rock is more important than ever.
And REJECTED YOUTH continue where they left off in 2007 with "Public Disorder". Although they stick to their musical genre and roots they remain open minded regarding new influences and styles. Their new album is partly a bit more rocking but also contains this typical melodic streetpunk, '77 punk and some piano parts. Regarding their lyrics the Rejects keep on dealing with lots of critical issues. Among scene-relevant issues like "Gray Zone", Nazi murders or Anti-Antifa they also address other topics like gentrification, corporate social responsibility or self-exploitation, just to name a few.
"Fuck The Consent" is a consequent development and proves in an impressive manner that hymn-like, political punk rock is timelessly modern and therefore certifies REJECTED YOUTH to be one of the most important bands in this genre!

4 Jahre nach ihrem letzten Longplayer "Public Disorder" ist es nun endlich soweit. Der 4. Longplayer von REJECTED YOUTH "Fuck The Consent" erscheint auf Concrete Jungle Records am 18. November 2011. 1998 gegründet, hat sich REJECTED YOUTH aus Nürnberg im Laufe der Jahre zu einer etablierten Punk-Institution entwickelt. Mit 3 Longplayern, einer Live DVD, mehreren Singles und einem Mini-Album haben die 4 Mitglieder auf zahlreichen Festivals, Tourneen und Shows bis in die USA beweisen können, dass politischer Punkrock alles andere als überflüssig und nicht zeitgemäß ist.
Und REJECTED YOUTH machen genau da weiter wo sie mit dem Vorgängeralbum aufgehört haben. Musikalisch zwar immer ihrem Genre und musikalischen Roots treu, verschließen sie sich aber nach wie vor nicht vor neuen Einflüssen und Stilen. Hier und da etwas rockiger, dann wieder dieser typische melodische Streetpunk, hin zu leicht angehauchten 77er Punk und dezent eingesetzten Pianoparts. Textlich hingegen bleiben die Rejects aber konstant und befassen sich wieder kritisch mit vielen Thematiken. Neben den szenerelevanten Punkten wie Grauzone, Nazimorde oder Anti-Antifa geht es auch um Bereiche die jeden betreffen können. Gentrifizierung, Corporate Social Responsibility oder Selbstausbeutung sind nur einige Beispiele.
"Fuck The Consent" ist eine konsequente Weiterentwicklung und beweist auf eindrucksvolle Weise, dass hymnenhafter Punkrock mit politischen Inhalten zeitlos klingen kann und bescheinigt REJECTED YOUTH eine der wichtigsten Bands in diesem Genre zu sein!
